The Big Book of Data Engineering

For this project, I developed a series of cover design concepts for The Big Book of Data Engineering, 3rd Edition published by Databricks. The goal was to create a bold, contemporary visual identity that reflects both the technical depth and the approachability of the content.

Design Approach

  • Explored multiple graphic directions using geometric forms, color blocking, and dynamic typography.

  • Balanced clarity and impact, ensuring the title remained strong and legible while still allowing for playful layouts

  • Incorporated brand colors and elements to keep the series consistent with Databricks’ visual language, while introducing fresh variations for this new edition.
